The Japanese Type 95 75mm field gun, which entered production in 1935, was originally intended to replace the Type 38 75mm field gun and the Type 41 75mm mountain gun in front line combat units, but only 261 were produced by the Osaka Arsenal by the end of WWII. It had a split trail carriage and a sliding-wedge type breechblock.
