The Honest John was an unguided surface-to-surface artillery rocket that was launched from a 6x6 truck. First deployed in January, 1953; it could be fitted with either a nuclear or HE warhead. There were two variants, the MGR-1A (M31) and MGR-1B (M50), differing in range, thrust, payload, and overall size.
