Type 38 75mm field gun

The Japanese Type 38 75mm field gun was based on a German Krupp design of 1905. The carriage has wooden wheels and a plain box trail.    An 'Improved' version included equilabrators and an open box trail which allowed higher gun elevation to increase range.
