M1906 4.7 inch field gun in Camp Douglas, WI

This is one of 6 artillery pieces preserved at the Wisconsin National Guard Museum at Volk Field along I-94.  It is extraordinary that the rubber is still intact on the wheels!

Muzzle face - Top half lists "Northwestern Ordinance Co." (manufacturer) and "1919" (year of manufacture), at bottom left is "2665 POUNDS" (weight), and at bottom right is "No.503 J.S.R." (registration number and inspector's initials) - (photo by John Anderson)
