M1 / M114 155mm howitzer

The U.S. Army adopted the M1 155mm howitzer in 1941. During WWII it proved to be one of the best artillery pieces of its type in the world. After WWII it was renamed the M114 and continued to serve through the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
