4.2 inch Navy Parrott rifle in Evansville, WI

This iron Civil War cannon is inconspicously located under a tree at the West end of Lake Leota Park off the 3rd base line of the nearby baseball field.

Stamped on top of breech - "R.P.P." (initials of inventor Robert Parker Parrott) "No.214" (registry no.) "3460 LBS."


Left side view - whatever markings may have been on the muzzle face are long gone!
